SO YOU WANT A WEEK AT THE BEACH...

TWO EMAILS FROM KLIENSTUBER'S REAL ESTATE MAKE ME WONDER IF THIS YEAR THE TRIP TO THE BEACH WILL BE LESS OF A VACATION AND MORE OF AN
EXPEDITION...

Dear John Sheridan,

Below please see a news alert for travel on Rt. 26 as this MAY affect your
travel plans:  I am cutting and pasting the info. below.
Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) has received a request from
Delmarva Power to enact lane closures on Route 26 for the expansion project:

- Monday to Thursday: 5 a.m. to normal end of work day.
- Friday to Sunday: 5 a.m. to noon.

Lane closures were already scheduled to continue until June 30.

PLEASE keep this in mind as you travel toward Fenwick. Consider an alternative
route (Rt. 54/20 or Rt. 1) and avoid Rt. 26 at all costs. This will cause the
alternative routes to be busier as well so pack your patience and maybe leave
home a bit earlier.  Remember to call our office if you find you are going to be
later than 4:30 on the Saturday of your check in.  Regards, JK

Dear John Sheridan,

Fenwick Greetings!
We have just been made aware that the beach replenishment work for the DE
beaches may begin as early as Wednesday of this week (7/17/13).  That means at
any time we should all expect to see the large machinery begin to ascend on to
our beaches.
We thought it best to advise everyone who has their vacation planned for the
upcoming weeks to be prepared.  We do not know any schedule as to where the
dredge will be at any specific time but I will provide for you phone numbers
below where you could call to find out.
It is our understanding that every dune crossing will be open but people will be
funneled to either the North or South depending on where the work happens to be
going on on any particular day.  Although this may be a slight imposition for
some who plan on visiting our area it has been determined that our beaches need
to be shored up to protect them from major storm damage. There will be no more
than 2 blocks closed at any time and the work should progress quickly.
Please try to refrain from calling our office with specific questions because we
simply have no clue as to the schedule as to where the work will be done at any
specific time. We are learning this at the same time as you and are therefore
very much in the dark otherwise.  Please do not reply to this note and expect us
to receive your reply.
Below are phone numbers where you can call for more info. or to voice your
