LEST WE FORGET...

A RECENT OVERNIGHT GUEST AT SCRD OFFERED THE REVIEW BELOW.  SHE AND SOME GUESTS OF HER'S SPENT A NIGHT TENT CAMPING ALONG THE RIVER DUNNINGS.  SURE IT IS FLOODED NOW BUT WHEN ALL IS SET RIGHT HER REVIEW TELLS THE STORY OF THE PEACE AND TRANQUILLITY TO BE FOUND THERE.

If you enjoy falling asleep to the sound of water rushing down the creek and the crackle of the fire just feet away this is the place for you.  I could not ask for a better view of the stars on the lush green lawns that surround SCRD. The inside of the cabin had the most interesting feel. I felt as if I had gone back in time with all 10 or more old lanterns and maps throughout the interior, but yet the electric stove and DVD player brought me right back to 2014. I must say my favorite part of my stay was reading up on the history of the cottage. On the first pages of the “’How to operate everything at SCRD’ for Dummies” book were the facts on when the cottage was first acquired and its subsequent changes since then. I wish to thank the owners of SCRD and assure them they will certainly see me again soon!
